Brien graduated from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law in 2024. Along with his J.D., he earned certificates in Intellectual Property Law and Entertainment Law. Brien also worked as a legal extern for The Research Foundation for SUNY, offering intellectual property legal services to professors and graduate students within the SUNY system.

Brien is originally from upstate New York and attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, earning a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Applied Mathematics. Prior to attending law school, he worked as an analyst and project manager in the fields of market research and business consulting. Brien’s professional background offers him a unique perspective, allowing him to relate to entrepreneurs and companies in assessing their intellectual property needs in relation to their business goals.
